Weekendophold i København

Wellness stay in Copenhagen (Moneysaving)

A few days of relaxation, wellness, good food and memorable experiences! Does it sound like the get away you and your friend or partner need? Then that’s easy to arrange, even if you do not live in a big city.

Take a trip to Copenhagen and have an unforgettable experience in good company. Choose a hotel, spa, eateries and attractions that perfectly match your wishes and budget.

Book a room

Start your trip Saturday early in the day. Check in at Wakeup Copenhagen – a good and affordable hotel. Save money by booking online, so there’s a little more to spend on other activities.

There are two Wakeup Copenhagen hotels. One in Borgergade and one in Carsten Niebuhr Street. Both are smart budget hotels. They have rooms on the lower floors for people who want to stay close to the ground, and rooms higher up for those who want to enjoy the beautiful views of Copenhagen.

We wouldn’t recommend one hotel over the other. They are equally good. It’s a matter of location and the distance to the sights you would like to visit.

The hotel in Borgergade closest to Strøget, if that’s where you would like to spend your time.

The heart of Copenhagen – Strøget

The shopping street Strøget is a good place to visit on a sunny Saturday morning. It’s one of Europe’s longest pedestrian streets and you’ll find a myriad of shops filled with goods ranging from perfume, shoes and handbags, to exclusive Danish design furniture. From cheap utility items to the world’s most expensive brands.

But Støget is much more than shopping. You could wander down the side street Nørregade and see Vor Frue church, where the Crown Prince Frederik married his princess, or take a look at the Stork Fountain on Amagertorv.

On the shopping street, there are also plenty of opportunities to have a bite to eat or a little refreshment when you need it. There’s something for everyone– whether you prefer the traditional Danish sausage stall, a burger bar, pizzeria, a café or restaurant.

For dinner we recommend the stylish and cozy sushi restaurant, Haiku Sushi. It’s housed in an old apartment at the Copenhagen Courthouse at the end of Nytorv.

Exclusive treatment

After a good night’s sleep you can walk – or take public transport – to Samadhi Spa. Depending on the Wakeup Copenhagen have chosen, it takes between 10 and 30 minutes to walk there.

Here you can get your body and soul cleansed with an exclusive cleansing, where you will be spoiled for 2½ hours.

The treatment includes a body massage, refreshments in Samadhi Spa’s cosy lounge, infrared sauna with cleansing health shot and a Jacuzzi with free use of Samadhi Spa’s own body scrub. Throughout the session, you’ll also be treated with delicious champagne, smoothies, chocolate fondue and fresh fruit.

It surely doesn’t get much better than this, and you’ll definitely return home refreshed and with renewed energy.
